Do you want to contribute to fossil freedom? _**Group Accounting within the CFO functions is now looking for someone who will join the team as **Head of IFRS Team**.

**Your role as Head of IFRS Team**

As Head of IFRS Team you will be responsible of a team of five co-workers, divided in three countries. You will be responsible for the team and you will also be working operational.

You will be a group-wide contact person for major accounting questions that arise in Vattenfall. You are creating solutions for complex topics and advise colleagues in other financial departments. Typically you will get early involvement into projects that can have a material effect on Vattenfall, like the participation in M&A projects. Among others, main interfaces exist towards colleagues in Business Control, Accounting Record to Report, Group Tax and Investor Relations. In addition, you will be in close contact with the Group auditor. It is the cooperation with other departments of Vattenfall and continuous development that makes this job very exiting.

**Our department**

Within the Group Accounting department in Vattenfall, the IFRS team is responsible for ensuring a consistent and IFRS compliant Group Reporting in Vattenfall. Hereby, we aim to ensure that these solutions are not only in line with existing regulations but also supporting Vattenfall’s financial targets. In addition, our field of work comprises the implementation of new or amended IFRS Standards which are transformed into the Vattenfall Accounting Directives. Moreover, with the responsibility for the preparation of the disclosure Notes in Vattenfall’s Quarterly and Annual Reports we are working on a visible external product.

**Qualifications** Your qualifications as Head of IFRS Team**
- Relevant university degree within accounting
- Several years of work life experience in accounting/finance
- Very good familiarity with IFRS rules and willingness to further evolve this knowledge base
- Communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Meritorious if you have experience from managerial or team lead positions

**On a personal level** we believe that in order to be successful in this position you have an analytical and structured way to take on tasks and like to work within frameworks, but combine that with the ability to think outside the box. You have a proactive mindset and can initiate new activities with a successful result. You are comfortable in communicating and explaining accounting solutions to different stakeholders in an understandable way.
