Head of Project Management

YOUR MISSION

We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Head of Project Management (gn) to lead, develop, and optimize the overall project management organization at Proteros. In this key leadership role, you will manage the entire project portfolio across business units, align project delivery with strategic goals, and ensure seamless communication between our clients and internal stakeholders. You will act as a central navigator and enabler, empowering your team of Project Managers to achieve operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients and internal teams. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage the entire project portfolio across all departments and business units at Proteros to meet quality, time and budget targets.
- Ensure efficient coordination and prioritization of projects, including preparation of portfolio data and conducting project controlling meetings.
- Act as the central communicator and 'navigator' providing clear, concise, and actionable updates to key stakeholders across the organization.
- Facilitate alignment between sales and operations teams to optimize order intake, capacity utilization, and project delivery in cooperation with scheduling manager.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing insights and recommendations based on portfolio data and performance metrics.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Assistants, fostering a culture of service excellence, ownership and accountability.
- Define and continuously improve PM processes, templates for proposals, planning, execution, and monitoring of projects.
- Implement and maintain project management software tools to enhance transparency and decision-making.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive Project Management Manual and process documentation.

YOUR PROFILE
- 5+ years of leadership experience in project management or a related function (biotech or pharma background advantageous, but not required).
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Business Administration; an advanced technical or scientific degree is a plus.
- Proven expertise in building-up project management processes and managing complex project portfolios, and driving executional excellence.
- Strong experience implementing and leveraging project management tools and software to improve operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated success in managing interfaces and processes between commercial and production-oriented teams in a service-driven environment.
- Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with a track record of building-up, developing and coaching teams.
- Ability to guide and motivate cross-functional teams in a decisive yet supportive manner with a strong enablement mindset.
- Highly analytical, hands-on, and entrepreneurial with a focus on process implementation, optimization and results. Passionate using various software tools to steer portfolio and projects in a highly professional manner.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
