(Sr) Director, PMO

**PURPOSE AND SCOPE**:
Is responsible and performs Project Management Office activities for multiple projects in CFO area in accordance with best practices and global PM guidelines. Supports the Chief of Staff with workshop preparation and alignments for various strategic Finance topics incl. coordination of ad hoc requests.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Is responsible for the day-to-day PMO task management and execution of strategic Finance projects assigned to the Chief of Staff from scope definition, concept phase, implementation phase to post-implementation tracking
- Performs daily project check-ins, conducts core team & workstream meetings and facilitates project workshops
- Works in a team with workstream leads to advance projects towards projects deliverables
- Prepares project updates for the Steering Committee and Management Board
- Closely monitors and follows up on project deliverables and sets-up a thorough project reporting to assure that project deliverables are fulfilled in time, quality and budget
- Facilitates initiatives in CFO area, supports in preparation of action plans to achieve process standardization and efficiencies and monitors implementation
- Supports the Chief of Staff in workshop preparation for strategic Finance topics in collaboration with the Finance Leadership Team
- Performs various analysis and prepares slide decks to answer ad hoc requests from CFO
- Builds up, leads and develops a lean PMO team of internal and / or external resources incl introduction of agile PMO techniques
- Other duties as assigned
- May involve global travel up to 10%
**SUPERVISION**:
- Manages a small PMO team of internal and / or external resources
**EDUCATION**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; Advanced degree, MBA, CFA preferred
**EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS**:
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a relevant finance position in an international company (e.g. PMO, Business Partnering, FP&A) and / or in a consultancy
- Proven track record in successfully managing cross-functional projects
- Ability to partner closely with senior management to align and report on project deliverables
- Proven team & change management skills in a matrix organization
- Structured, diligent way of working with very good time management, communication and organizational skills
- Very good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact
- Good analytical skills and sound understanding of finance business processes
- Experience in agile PM techniques (SCRUM, 6Sigma) and PM qualifications are a plus
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (mainly MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English
- Be confident with new situations in a dynamic environment and adapting and learning quickly with a high interest to continuously improve the status-quo
- Proactive way of working, solution-oriented, results-driven and searching for win-win situations
- Consistently meeting deadlines and highly motivated to meet project deliverables whilst keeping highest professional standards
- Successfully works with individuals in remote locations and across regions
