Position Purpose:
Fresenius Medical care is a publicly traded, vertically integrated, highly
matrixed, healthcare services & products company focused on renal care with 125,000 employees globally and $18B in annual revenue. In this role, the Senior HR Business Partner will provide support for our products division referred to as Care Enablement, with a specific focus on “In Center & Critical Care & Ventures” business units. The Sr. HRBP provides expertise and guidance to teams spread across several regions in areas of culture and change management, strategic coaching, talent assessment and development, succession planning, performance management and organizational design. The Sr. HRBP is critical in co-developing and executing HR strategies in alignment with the Global People Strategy to support the client’s business objectives and a connected partner for the business leaders. The Sr. HRBP will also support in Local HR Business Partner topics for the Bad Homburg site.
Key Duties:
- Understand the business needs, identify related HR priorities, generate projects and initiatives and collaborate closely with the CoEs to provide solutions for the business
- Partner with assigned management team members and their leadership teams to develop and execute both long-term and short-term departmental HR strategies that directly support and enable business objectives
- Partner with assigned management team members and Senior Director GHRBP to develop and embed a contemporary organizational culture, leverage change acceleration techniques to assist in driving broad change
- Act as an organizational coach, who builds organizational capabilities, reduces complexity and partners with clients to maximize performance
- Strategically partner with assigned management team members to design and implement the most effective organizational structures and manage transitions using change acceleration techniques
- Provide timely, effective and direct coaching, assisting in the development of strong, contemporary leadership skills
- Provide strategic coaching to employees as related to succession planning, career path development and performance management
- Co-Lead succession planning and talent development strategies for the organization, identifying critical roles and preparing potential talent and pipelines, mentoring, training, etc
- Lead through critical HR operating rhythms, such as performance management, succession planning, salary planning, leveraging assistance from country/local HR sources (e.g. HR Administration, Employee Relations) as appropriate
- Develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain strong and diverse talent
- Work with leaders and employees to create a positive and contemporary work environment
- Partner with local HR support teams, setting up fundamental HR activities in order to focus on strategic organizational and employee development strategies, while regionally securing as much cross functional consistency as possible
- Partner with global business leaders to drive organizational and cultural change initiatives. Consult and partner with People & Organization Development Lead and CoEs in an early stage to ensure the right level of support
- Identify opportunities and contribute to initiatives that grow the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the HR function

Education, Skills and Experience:
- Certification in change management and coaching techniques desirable
- Savvy in relevant labour law
- 6+ years of relevant work experience HR functions
- Experience in dealing with labour law issues (focus on regional labour law)
- Experienced facilitator of various group sizes on all leadership levels
- Experienced in leading negotiations with employee representatives (e.g. Unions, Workers Council, Sprecherausschuss)
- Demonstrated ability to drive the HR strategic agenda using knowledge of the organization and the employees
- Capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously and executing to completion
- Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding, high performance work environment and team-oriented culture
- Excellent collaboration, influencing, project management, organizational and change agent skills
- Fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel
