Supervisory Information Technology Specialist

**Duties**:

- Serves as Chief of the NEC Network Infrastructure Division with responsibility for installation, configuration, testing, implementation, and management of the communication systems environment.
- Provides supervision and oversight for DA US Civilians, Soldiers and Host Nation personnel assigned Data and Voice responsibilities.
- Provides expert technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
- Interprets and implements applicable Army regulations regarding project approval, work management, work classification and establishes related installation policies.

- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a no-fee United States passport.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance eligibility with access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Position requires that employee passes screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and subsequent periodic drug screening thereafter.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel (approx. 10%) from the normal duty station.
- Incumbent (or Selectee) appointed to IA/IT positions must complete all DoD 8570.1-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program training and certification (baseline and computing environment (CE)) requirements within 6 months.
- Sustainment training is required as needed to keep the IA\IT professional proficient in their job duties.
- All individuals performing technical functions are required to sign a Privileged-Level Access Agreement (PAA) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
- This position requires periodic On-Call status.
- Lifting up to 35 pounds is required.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position may be designated as Emergency-Essential. Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status.
- In the event of a crisis situation or wartime, the incumbent must continue to perform the duties and requirements of the position to ensure the success of combat operations.
- This position is designated as Key. The position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the mission.
- Obtain and maintain a TMP driver’s license.

- To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year ofspecialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by: Managing internal and external current operations tasking; briefing senior management; and writing memorandums and/or letters of instruction.
