Technical Innovation Partner Hydrogen

The Technical Innovation (TI) Team is looking for a “Technical Innovation Partner“. As TI Partner you will manage a portfolio of technical innovation projects. Whilst the role is not limited to any specific technology only, the primary focus will be on H2 related projects, activities and overall coordination between the different departments within RWE RES and also with the RWE business units involved, e.g. RWE Generation. This will also include the strategic alignment of a Technical Innovation Roadmap to kick start Innovation Projects in the area of H2.

**Your future plans**
- Support the Team Lead Technical Innovation and the Senior Technical Innovation Partner in managing Innovation work in renewables technologies across the Renewables Business
- Work with team colleagues to develop a business and value focused Innovation strategy and plan for agreed topic areas, in close cooperation with experts and key stakeholders in the business; coordinate with other business units and teams within RWE
- Portfolio management
- Be up to date and informed about latest technical developments in the area of Hydrogen production and innovations for On
- Create and assess new project ideas against strategic objectives with experts and business colleagues, actively seeking to share best practices and exploit synergies across the whole RWE Group
- Communicate proactively and effectively within RWE, actively promoting the profile of Technical Innovation and manage key RWE stakeholders including key executives
- Deliver agreed part of plan with regards to time, cost quality, HSSE, the extraction of maximum benefit from the results and to facilitate smooth business implementation
- Manage internal and external project managers and other resources and ensure reporting and provide support for project managers, where appropriate.
- Management of selected key Innovation Projects
- Contract negotiation and management, and close working with procurement and legal to structure contracts to ensure best value and learning for RWE
- Management and promotion of IP and knowhow development and protection

**Your profile**
- Successfully completed university degree in engineering, economics or natural sciences or comparable, ideally with energy technology experience
- Several years of professional experience in innovation management, at least 4 years
- Solid experience in the area of Hydrogen production or Hydrogen innovations
- Experience of building and motivating strong goal-focussed networks or project teams to deliver change
- Good interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills at senior levels with an ability to flex style depending on cultural differences
- Sound commercial judgement that is results-oriented, open-minded and able to spot possibilities in uncertain and complex environments
- Strongly self-directing, working indecently and able to identify key priorities in new challenges and plan and prioritise work accordingly
- Business fluent in English required, other languages are a plus
