**What **does **an HR Business Partner** **do at **Hogarth?**

Reporting into the EMEA HR Director, you will deliver proactive, commercially driven HR support and guidance to our employees and the wider business. The role will include HR business partnering, employee relations, delivering proactive, pragmatic, creative and business focused HR advice and solutions. To build and develop relationships with managers and staff at all levels to provide support and guidance on a range of HR matters and share best practice throughout the business.

**Key Responsibilities**
- As a trusted advisor, partner with the MD and senior leadership team to provide specialist advice and guidance
- With support from the EMEA HRD, and in partnership with the MD and senior leadership team, develop and implement the people strategy aligned to the business's strategic goals
- Working with the EMEA HRD, ensure the Global People Strategy is implemented consistently within Germany
- In partnership with the EMEA HRD, responsible for creating and maintaining relevant People policies and practices that embrace our Hogarth values and culture, and align with local legal requirements
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with line managers and senior key stakeholders
- Advise and coach managers on matters such as performance, conduct/capability, absence or employee relations matters and ensure that all issues are dealt with in a timely manner, sensitively and appropriately
- Support and advise employees on employee relations and employee life cycle matters
- Support, guide and challenge managers, building their competence and confidence to enable them to effectively and proactively manage their teams
- Working with the EMEA HRD, support with any change management initiatives
- Remain up to date with employment legal changes and HR best practice and trends
- Design and embed improved on-boarding processes across the business and work with your business areas to ensure induction process are continually reviewed and improved
- Responsible for ensuring all new starters are onboarded locally and globally, and receive a comprehensive and exciting induction
- Support managers and employees with the annual performance review process
- Partnering with the EMEA HRD, MD and senior leadership team to cultivate a positive company culture, harnessing our company values
- Working with the WPP Shared Services team, share relevant payroll information in a timely manner to support the monthly payroll process
- Contribute as part of the EMEA HR Team, supporting the development and implementation of People initiatives and programs to support the wider HR agenda
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning, partnering with the leadership team and learning services partner to ensure employees meet their training and development goals, and learning opportunity it meet our employees needs
- Ensure compliance of all Hogarth and WPP policies and procedures are adhered to within required timeframes
- Represent Hogarth Germany within the WPP HR community and other operating companies where required

**Requirements**:
We are looking for someone with generalist HR experience gained within a fast paced, high growth International environment. You will be resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, able to work at pace
and be comfortable juggling a varied workload.

Key attributes and competencies we're looking for include:

- Strong generalist employee relations knowledge with practical experience of managing cases
through to resolution
- Experience of working with the Works Council
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, with the ability to persuade influence and,
when appropriate challenge with tact and diplomacy
- Excellent communication skills, works effectively within a team and understands the impact
of their actions on colleagues
- Experience of working in an International business environment and a matrix structure would be advantageous
- Naturally collaborative in outlook and style
in the face of obstacles
- The ability to diagnose complex situations and work pragmatically to define appropriate responses and resolution
