EIT Health, a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) under the umbrella of the European
Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), is focused on supporting entrepreneurship, innovation,
and education, to promote healthy living, support active ageing and improve healthcare. EIT Health
brings together leading organisations along the entire value chain - smaller companies, larger
industry, excellent academic and research institutions, and public sector organisations. Together we
work toward a healthier Europe by removing barriers to innovation, promoting talent and education,
leveraging enabling technologies and exploiting big data. EIT Health has Central Offices in Munich and
develops activities across a network of Co-Location Centres (CLCs) in Paris, London, Barcelona,
Rotterdam, Stockholm, Vienna and Mannheim. In addition, the InnoStars office in Budapest involves
Partners from Hungary, Poland, Portugal and Italy. EIT Health includes more than 150 partners.

About EIT Health France
The CLC in France, also known as EIT Health France, manages the EIT Health French Partners, the
majority of whom are based in two regions - Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Île-de-France. The CLC brings
to the network innovation assets and activity from across the country. To this end, the CLC:

- brings togehter French-based partners and ecosystem contributors in cooperation - with one

another and with their counterparts all over Europe in the EIT Health network;
- identifies new opportunities, supports the development of impactful projects and leverages

good practices;
- drives regional and supra-regional outreach and dissemination;
- explores, develops, and implements new service and business models that add value to the
- partnership and support the organisation’s sustainability.- is - and should remain - an especially active and proactive CLC: for example, EIT Health

France has led several strategic initiatives, such as the Venture Centre of Excellence, a
strategic cooperation with the European Investment Fund, as well as WorkinHealth and Talent
Market Place.

The EIT Health CLC France is a for-profit legal entity (SAS) co-owned by EIT Health.e.V. - the EIT Health
central office - and by Innolife Life France, an “Association Loi 1901”.

EIT Health France now seeks to appoint a new Managing Director with the experience, skills,
motivation, and personal capabilities to lead and develop the CLC team and portfolio, to conduct the
day-to-day business of the CLC, and to grow and represent the partnership. The appointed individual
will also be invited to participate in appropriate committees and boards that coordinate the KIC LE as a
whole. The position also works closely with the C- level of the organisation, as well as with the
leadership of other CLCs. All decision-making bodies and committees of EIT Health are accountable to
the Supervisory Board of the organisation.

In France, three other legal entities have been created to support the Strategic Agenda of EIT Health
and develop further the sustainability of the KIC:

- The French Branch of InvestHealth, a new commercial entity wholly owned by EIT Health e.V.,

has evolved from EIT Health's unique ability to understand market challenges and offer
tailored solutions for start-ups to overcome fundraising hurdles.

- Two other entities - WorkInHealth Foundation, an endowment fund, and EITSI SAS, a for
- profit company - both address the evident and growing skills and talent gaps within the
healthcare industry across Europe.
About the Role & its Responsibilities
The Manging Director of EIT Health France will be expected to manage the day-to-day operations of
the CLC with other core team members across a portfolio comprised of Innovation, Education,
Business Creation, and Corporate Affairs activities, alongside other legal entities, such as InvestHealth
and/or WorkinHealth/Talent Market Place.

Specifically, this involves:

- Steering the EIT Health CLC France, as its spokesperson and operational lead.
- Further developing and positioning CLC France regionally, nationally, and throughout Europe

as a major driver in healthcare innovation adoption, education, talent development and
business creation.
- Taking responsibility for all financial, legal, and administrative aspects of CLC France and its

associated legal entities.
- Leading and facilitating cooperation of all French partners within the CLC and with the entire

EIT Health community.
- Representing CLC France and providing an influential voice in the governance bodies of EIT

Health e.V. (KIC).
- Steering all CLC-specific aspects of the overall EIT Health Business Plan and managing the

corresponding assets.
- Collaborating and coordinating with colleagues at the European and regional level to define,

create and maximise synergies and opportunities for cooperation and portfolio development,
as well as supporting the joint rep
