**Head of Logistics**
Location: Berlin
Global online retailer is looking for their new Head of Logistics. You will be working within the Supply Chain Leadership team supporting the company's long-term strategy for their European markets. This role is instrumental in delivering the supply chain strategy, identifying opportunities for growth & operational improvements as well as driving sustainability initiatives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage & partner with the 3PL of Berlin Fulfilment Centre.
- Accountability of the operating budget & setting the commercial metrics that are industry
- Leading quarterly reviews in partnership with senior stakeholders and direct reports.
- Managing operational budgets and negotiating contracts as required.
- Lead & empower the local client & 3PL team.
- Partner with Supply Chain Development for CAPEX related projects.
- Development of processes & infrastructure to improve service and customer experience.
- Cost management and control across all sites and partners.
- Driving the site to a best-in-class warehouse across all key disciplines including staff
- engagement & health and safety.
- Management of and development of relationships with key stakeholders in the business,
- including Trading, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Technology & Customer Care.
- Supporting company culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
**Requirements**:
- Operational experience of building and developing international supply chains in an ECommerce retail logistics environment.
- Previous experience of managing a fully automated site with a large onsite population within a 3PL or an E-Commerce business.
- Proven experience in developing returns/delivery process and propositions.
- Experience working with 3PLs, supply chain partners with a proven record in maximising profitability & mitigating financial risk.
- Track record in enhancing performance levels and KPIs through end-to-end supply chain management.
- Experience in customs compliance & industry quality assurance standards.
- Development & delivery of short, medium, long-term plans to support business growth & improve customer experience.
- Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement experience.
- Experience working with ISO accreditation.
- Track record in value-add development & engagement within supply chain team.
- Capable of thriving in a fast paced ever changing landscape where no two days are ever the same.
