Head of Supply Chain Management

The Role:
As Head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for overseeing all supply chain activities, from procurement and production planning to logistics, inventory, and distribution. You'll play a key leadership role in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination between internal teams and external partners.
This is a strategic and hands-on position suited for a proven leader from the pharmaceutical industry who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes, including planning, procurement, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
- Ensure full compliance with GMP, GDP, and other relevant pharmaceutical regulations.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and project management teams to ensure on-time delivery of client projects.
- Drive supply chain optimization initiatives, including ERP enhancements, vendor management, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop KPIs and reporting mechanisms to measure performance and support data-driven decision-making.
- Act as the key supply chain contact for clients and partners, ensuring transparency and reliability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
- Strong knowledge of GMP/GDP standards and global regulatory expectations.
- Proven success in building and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and German
