**About BD Interventional**:
BD Interventional (BDI) focuses on leading innovation and life-enhancing devices in the field of surgical, endovascular, urological and critical care interventions. We seek to advance the treatment of high burden diseases and enabling surgical and interventional procedures.
**About the role**:
This role will develop and implement the BDI EMEA Regional Medical Affairs Strategy. You serve as a key member of the EMEA BDI Leadership Team, providing Medical Affairs insights into the annual BDI regional Business Strategy Process including innovation and product development. You support the identification and evaluation of new regional opportunities and act as an internal advisor for all medical/scientific relationships with HCP’s and customers.
**Other responsibilities include**:
- Developing Evidence Generation strategies that support product development, product approval/registration, timely adoption and post-market surveillance of BDI products
- Supporting clinical research studies from initial concept through execution to ensure that they meet strategic goals, stay in sync with applicable regulations, and are optimally prioritized
- Visiting clinicians, hospitals, healthcare systems and/or insurers to identify, discuss, and address potential or emerging issues related to product use, performance, adoption, or development.
- Partnering with key opinion leaders, scientific societies and HCP’s, including taking part in Advisory Board Meetings
- Reviewing promotional and educational material for scientific accuracy and compliance
**About you**:
A Medical Affairs leader educated as a Medical Doctor or PhD in a Life Sciences field, you ideally have extensive knowledge related to the BDI product portfolio: Peripheral Intervention, Urology, Critical Care and/or Surgery. Experience in the MedTech industry will be a plus, with a background in Life Sciences. You bring experience in crafting medical strategies, developing medical teams, and implementing medical processes.
We require a proven track record in building partnerships with internal and external partners. That includes identifying unmet clinical needs, evaluating product opportunities from a medical perspective, and helping develop strategies that leads to efficient development of such opportunities with a strong customer/client orientation. An excellent communicator, you have the ability to integrate medical and scientific information into business planning. You optimally share data throughout a matrix organization, to cross-functional colleagues of varying backgrounds (Region business leaders, HEOR, marketing...).
