Credit Underwriting Specialist, Amazon Business

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or related field or equivalent
- Robust data managing skills, including the ability to be hands-on and dive deep into details, identifying root cause and propose solutions
- Experience in SME/Corporate credit analysis and credit risk management for financial services, rating agencies, banks, or fintech companies
- Able to build positive business relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to articulate complex problem and cater your language to different audience in both verbal and written communication
- Excel expertise
- Basic knowledge of working with data tools/languages such as SQL
- Exhibits excellent business judgment and work with a structured approach to design, plan and execute
- Results-oriented: Proven track record of on-time project/program delivery for large, cross-functional projects.
- Has relentlessly high standards in your deliverables (e.g. documents, codes, etc.)

This role is to responsibly scale our UK and EU business as the Credit Underwriting Specialist for Pay by Invoice credit portfolio under Amazon Business Payments. A critical component on Amazon Business - Pay by Invoice is a core payment method which allows buyers to buy products on credit terms (e.g. Net 30). We expect thousands of business buyers to use this feature and Amazon will need to credit assess these customers and manage a growing portfolio of receivables.

The position is based in Munich, Germany.

Key job responsibilities
- Understanding the business needs of our biggest customers
- Developing profitable underwriting strategies to cater to the evolving business needs
- Bringing capability to onboard, underwrite and manage worldwide exposures at scale and
- Working proactively with cross-functional partner teams to ensure that our customers are set up for success on the Amazon Business platform
- Being highly resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented and possess strong credit management skills
- Have a strong customer obsession and desire to exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of our largest customers.
- Working in a fast paced, highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail.

- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in automating, optimizing and simplifying manual processes to drive operational efficiency
- Working knowledge of European language such as Spanish / French / German
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and build strategic programs from such opportunities
- Experience in a “customer-first” environment, with a passion for uncovering insights and translating them into actionable projects / programs
- Ability to think and react in a high-pressure environment.
