Job Purpose: As the Head of Project Management Office (PMO), you will lead and setup the strategic direction and execution of customer project management activities across the globe. You will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring that all initiatives align with our strategic objectives. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing complex project portfolios, developing standardized processes, and mentoring a team of project managers to deliver excellence across all projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Leadership**:
- Oversee and lead the development and execution of the PMO strategy to support the company's vision.
- Manage the entire project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals, timely delivery, and resource optimization.
- Define and maintain PMO governance standards, processes, and procedures.
**Stakeholder Engagement**:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all customer project-related activities, liaising between project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with executives to ensure strategic alignment and provide updates on project performance, risks, and outcomes.
- Establish and maintain project reporting and control mechanisms to ensure accurate tracking of project progress, resource utilization, risks, and financials, providing timely and transparent insights to stakeholders.
**Team Management**:
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across the project management teams.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure early resolution of issues.
- Create a standardized risk management framework to proactively address challenges in project delivery.
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Drive innovation in project management methodologies and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement post-project reviews and lessons learned processes to continuously improve project outcomes.
**Financial Oversight**:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Work closely with finance to track project costs and forecast future needs
**Personal Skills**:
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a proven track record in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Supply chain leadership, particularly in managing internal resources, ensuring smooth collaboration between departments, and optimizing the flow of information and materials and resource allocation.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable project plans.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on risk management and issue resolution.
**Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position within a PMO.
- Proven success in managing large-scale, complex projects across the globe.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is required.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

- Client and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Effective management of project budgets and resources.
- Optimal resource utilization, ensuring efficient allocation of personnel and tools across projects.
