We are looking for an Underwriter to join our Property Team based in Munich.

Allianz Global corporate & Specialty (AGCS) specializes in corporate property insurance for the most complex and challenging risk exposures in more than 200 countries and territories. With a focus on larger international risk portfolios, we offer tailor-made 'All Risks' property damage and business interruption insurance through our global network.

**The Impact You Will Have**

Based in Munich, you will work closely with clients and brokers to underwrite profitable new and renewal business locally and regionally including global elements. You will take ownership for large Property accounts/clients including negotiation, pricing, terms and conditions and develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.

**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**
- Underwrite Profitable business
- Underwrite large new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom-line targets (regionally including global elements).
- Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with clients and brokers
- Underwrite and evaluate Property exposure, BI/CBI including Nat CAT, ensuring an understanding of catastrophe modelling and interpretation of scenarios
- Demonstrate in depth technical expertise and IIP lead capabilities

**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
- 5- 10 years of experience in Underwriting profitable business in the IIP large corporate Property segment
- Recognized relationships with clients and brokers at peer group level and well established within market
- Specialized understanding of regional / local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape, including global elements
- Good understanding of legal and regulatory framework
- Preferably a degree in Economics or other appropriate discipline
- Completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g. CII)
- Risk Assessment and Management: Ability to assess risk inherent exposures, business interruption and natural hazards
- Contract Drafting and Interpretation: Design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings
- Communication & Presentation: Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.
- Influencing skills: Ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, identify and resolve issues
- Fluent English language skills
