Munich Re Facultative & Corporate (F&C) bundles the worldwide facultative and corporate business in one unit with over 550 experts across 20 countries.

We, GC/NA4.2.2 located in Munich and responsible for Property Facultative business in Caribbean and Europe, are looking for one qualified Underwriter to strengthen our team.

This implies a wide range of occupancies, markets and clients as well as collaboration with Client Managers and treaty colleagues from GC/NA and EU/LA and also with other departments within F&C and Munich Re areas (Claims, RIA, Corporate Underwriting).

In our Property team, we strive to assure high standards in underwriting quality and at the same time develop and provide business solutions with a clear focus on our clients. We are looking for Underwriters who have a strong interest in Property Underwriting, who want to contribute to the success of our teams and who are interested in working in an agile, flexible and future-oriented environment. You will be part of Munich Re’s core business and part of the Reinsurance UW-Community.

**Your job**:

- Assuming responsibility for the underwriting of proportional and non-proportional facultative property business in the defined markets
- Close interaction with clients and brokers, understand their needs and business strategy for developing joint opportunities with an innovative approach
- Involvement in special projects / initiatives within multidisciplinary working groups
- Openness to be part of the further development of automatization tools
- Being an active part of the client team
- Participating in underwriting reviews
- Contributing to an inspiring team environment

**Your profile**:

- Experience in underwriting of single risk business, preferably Property or experience in Engineering, Claims or Property Treaty
- Practical experience in risk management / risk inspections either on industrial and/or commercial risks is of advantage
- Good understanding of insurance coverages/wordings/clauses
- Profound negotiation skills, strong client focus and the ability to identify clients' needs and transform them into viable solutions
- Eagerness to drive your own and the team’s development; you are active in sharing knowledge with your colleagues
- Team player, open mindset and preparedness to work in a very dynamic environment incl. willingness to participate in job rotations
- High level of commitment and preparedness to travel
- Excellent command of English, Spanish is a plus
