Joint Training Resources Specialist

Coordinate, plan, and provide program resource management as directed. Support to be provided includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:

- Advise and assist Government leads planning, programming, and execution of funding resources. Monitor exercise funding and resource availability and expenditures; develop, provide, and update detailed exercise budget estimates to the Government leads.
- Provide technical and analytical support as pertains to the assigned areas in exercise and training.
- Demonstrates alignment of the Joint Exercise Program to strategic/operational/budgetary guidance on Joint exercises. o Supports production of a Joint Exercise (Training) Plan aligned to strategic guidance, including National Defense Strategy (NDS), National Military Strategy (NMS), et al.
- Participate in Joint Exercise Program management conferences, including: Quarterly Training Coordination Meetings, annual Exercise Planning Conference, and annual Exercise Coordination Conference. o Assist the exercise scoring process to produce a prioritized list.
- Develops and maintains the Joint Exercise Program (JEP) Scoring Matrix. Briefs at events and supports the JEP Steering Group nomination and scoring process. Produces and revises ECG as required to support this initiative.
- Supports the development of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) inputs, Program Execution Plan (PEP) and other required planning, programming, budgeting and executing (PPBE) products.
- Assists with developing and publishing Commander's Training Guidance aligned with the Combatant Commander Campaign Plan (CCP) and Theater Campaign Order (TCO).
- Support “Data Coherence” efforts o Coordinates with components, staff, Joint Staff and OSD o Manages which data elements the customer tracks and in which system, in order to respond to recurring reports, requests for information / data calls from Joint Staff, OSD and other external organizations. o Serves as a liaison to Joint Staff and OSD on the integration of relevant Joint Systems including capturing CCMD user feedback and requirements to shape future systems. o Serves as a liaison to Joint Staff and OSD in the development of CCMD Performance Metrics that help define “Return on Investment” of Joint Exercise Funds.
- Collect and report periodic performance metrics, including JOPES

Position Requirements
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to TS classified information; has a current SSBI/PR. Master’s Degree or Graduate of an advanced U.S. military officer-training course (preferred).
- Minimum three years of Joint experience or two years of Joint Training and Exercise experience at the MAJCOM or Combatant Command level.
- Minimum three years of experience and proficiency with developing, staffing and providing written products, correspondence and presentations to senior level military leadership (07 GO/FO level or higher) or civilian leadership (DV2 level equivalent to include ambassadorial, Minister of Defense, congressional).
- Minimum three years of experience and proficiency using the most current versions of Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
- Minimum three years of experience and proficiency in one or more of the following: Joint Training Information Management System(JTIMS), Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS),Operational Assessments, Joint Mission Essential Tasks (JMETs), Exercise Scenario design, Models and Simulation
