Human Resources Specialist

**Duties**: - Provides a full range of HR services for managers and employees. - Provides continuing technical advice and assistance to assigned organizations in resolution of staffing problems. - Screens requests for personnel actions and related documents for completeness and accuracy. - Monitors, directs, trains and oversees a team of lower graded HR staff when required. **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required - Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position - A one year probationary period may be required - Occasional travel for training purposes to off post locations is required - This is a CHRA NAF Career Path II position. Incumbent must complete the requirements for CHRA NAF Career Path II within twenty-four (24) months of placement into the position **Qualifications**: - 2. Experience analyzing, evaluating and recommending appropriate resolutions to complex interrelated recruitment and staffing problems and issues. - 3. Possess work experience creating and posting vacancy announcements as well as rating applicants for qualifications and eligibility utilizing an automated recruitment and staffing system (i.e. USA Staffing, Avue, Resumix, PeopleSoft, etc.). - 4. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems. - **The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower pay band (NF-03).** **Highly Preferred**: - 1. In addition to the qualifications listed above, applicants will possess prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office in a recruitment and placement capacity and have successfully completed of training in Basic Staffing, Customer Service, Organizational Structure, Basic Writing, and Time Management. - 2.
