Joint Training Specialist

Advise and assist Government leads in the development and implementation of the EUCOM Joint Exercise Program and assist the service components in the planning and implementation of their respective exercise programs, shall assist in de-conflicting the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) exercise schedules with Service Component, NATO, partner, and the allies exercises, and shall assist in preparing the annual Joint Training Plan (JTP).
- Produce, coordinate, and manage all required messages, pre and post briefs, and support documents, presentations, and spreadsheets for all JELC events.
- Prepare, coordinate, and submit Significant Military Exercise Briefs (SMEB) for select exercises to the Joint Staff.
- Establish and maintain Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) schedules to assure coordination and timely execution of exercise tasks and actions.
- Create appropriate realistic scenario and joint modeling and simulation (M&S) solutions that blend live, virtual, distributed, and synthetic training environments in order to enhance the training value of exercises and training.
- Develop and maintain detailed electronic continuity for each exercise on the HQ portal, Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) or shared network drives as directed. The electronic continuity shall archive all available electronic planning products to increase the efficiency of future efforts.
- Plan and support Exercise Related Construction (ERC) plans, surveys, and events.
Position Requirements
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to TS classified information; has a current SSBI/PR
- Master’s Degree or Graduate of an advanced U.S. military officer-training course (preferred).
- Minimum three years of Joint experience or two years of Joint Training and Exercise experience at the MAJCOM or Combatant Command level. NATO experience preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience and proficiency with developing, staffing and providing written products, correspondence and presentations to senior level military leadership (07 GO/FO level or higher) or civilian leadership (DV2 level equivalent to include ambassadorial, Minister of Defense, congressional).
- Minimum three years of experience and proficiency with development, design and assessment of exercise training objectives.
- Minimum three years of experience or formal training in joint doctrine and joint training procedures and manuals.
- Minimum three years of experience and proficiency using the most current versions of Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
- Minimum three years of experience and proficiency in one or more of the following: Joint Training Information Management System(JTIMS), Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS),Operational Assessments, Joint Mission Essential Tasks (JMETs), Exercise Scenario design, Models and Simulation
