The Director of Sales is responsible and held accountable, for all aspects of InterSystems Data Platform business within the region. The Director of sales is ultimately accountable for business development, delivering revenue and is charged with developing and executing the strategy that should result in ongoing maintenance of a satisfied and stable install customer base.
InterSystems have been present in the DACH region for many years and a loyal customer base has been developed. The remit of the Sales Director is to take the Data Platforms business to the next level of development and the goal will be to:
- Continue to develop in new vertical markets; Manufacturing & IOT, Financial Services and Retail & Logistics.
- Identify cross selling opportunities within the existing customer base
- Motivate a small Sales team focused towards the development of our Application Partner and End User customers.
**This role requires a dynamic, self-motivated individual who is a visionary, can develop and drive new business opportunities and lead a talented Sales team. You will have a strong network, understand market opportunities and have a creative approach to develop both new and existing business across multiple verticals.**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop the Data Platform Sales Executive team across verticals, responsible for new business and account management
- Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets, Application Partners (System Integrators / VARS) and end users
- Hold responsibility for the DACH Data Platform Sales target, reporting upwards to VP level
- Leading and driving the execution of account plans
- Maximising new business development opportunities
- Play a hands-on role in assisting the Sales Executives with the development of key accounts
- Coaching and mentoring.
- Developing strategy, sales plans and profit targets
- Forecasting and reporting
- Developing senior customer relationships.
- Representing the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events
**Experience & Qualifications**
- 10 years' experience as a Sales Manager
- 5 years' experience in Sales Management with proven leadership skills
- Cross vertical sales experience with Solution Partners, Resellers and End Users
- Experience in enterprise wide solutions
- Experience managing large complex solution sales
- A deep knowledge of Solution sales in a specific vertical
- Track record of over performance against quota
- A good understanding of database technology
