The Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Natural Faculty I and the Biozentrum, Core Facility Microscopy, is seeking to fill at the next possible date, until 31 December 2027, the position of a **Research Associate (f-m-d)** as full-time employment. The salary will be up to Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L, if the personal requirements and tasks are fulfilled. **Tasks**: In the joint research project "Value Plant - Plant-Based Valuable Compounds and Optimization of Crop Productivity," innovative scientific methods are being developed to extract plant-based valuable compounds and enhance the stress tolerance of crops. By combining fundamental plant science research with applied bio - technology, sustainable solutions are created for the fields of nutrition, agriculture, and the bioeconomy. Microscopic analysis plays a key role in this project, enabling the detailed characterization of cell structures, molecular processes, and biotechnological modifications in the studied plant models. - Development and implementation of new methods and protocols in the field of correlative and multi - modal microscopy - Imaging analysis of plant cell structures and subcellular processes in various crop plants - Contribution to the methodological optimization for visualizing biotechnological modifications - Support for students, doctoral researchers, users, and project partners through classical light and elec - tron microscopy methods - Training and advising project partners on microscopic techniques - Scientific documentation and publication of results in peer-reviewed journals - Participation in interdisciplinary project meetings and presentation of research findings - Implementation of independent research ideas **Requirements**: - Completed university degree in natural sciences or medicine with a PhD, preferably on an electron mi - croscopy-related topic - Extensive experience in a wide range of light and electron microscopy techniques and methods in the life sciences, preferably with plant material - Knowledge of correlative and multimodal microscopy is an advantage - Experience in image analysis and quantitative evaluation of microscopic data veröffentlicht am 12.02.2025 - Flexibility in approaching daily tasks in the CFM, independent working style, strong organizational skills, teamwork ability, and initiative in problem-solving - Excellent communication skills in German and English Applications from severely disabled persons with equal aptitude and qualifications will be given preferential consideration.
