As the Head of Engineering (f/m/x) you will lead an approx. 30 people big global hybrid team of internal and out-sourced engineers (some based on Berlin and the rest being provided remote or offshore). You will be responsible for the delivery of all software engineering, regardless of who is executing the engineering of all systems (legacy and cloud based). Your responsibilities will include improving the speed and quality of execution of sprints (as defined by the Process and product team). Are you up for a new challenge?

**What you will do**:
You will manage software engineering and operational teams which are served mainly by a single offshore supplier
You will build a high performing software engineering flexible capability using a small in house team (4 people approx.) and the offshore partner
You will develop software development quality procedures to QA delivery from offshore suppliers
You will develop a technical architecture and supporting architectural principles which will govern future software developments
You will identify ways to optimize for cost efficiency in Technology

**What we are looking for**:
You have 2-4 years of experience as an engineer lead or Head of engineering team (20+ people) using an offshore supplier
You have deep analytical and excellent communication skills
You have a deep understanding of microservices based architectures and the transformation of legacy systems
You have knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and toolsets (i.e. LAF, TOGAF, ArchiMate)
You have experience with SAP and ecommerce experience would be a big plus
You are fluent in English (German is a plus)
