**About the Role**:
**Your Daily Business**:

- Lead and manage our accounting, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development within the team.
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial reporting activities.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization to support business initiatives, identify opportunities for process improvements, and drive operational excellence.
- Stay current on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and proactively assess the impact on Circus's financial operations and reporting.

**Base Qualifications**:

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles, with at least 1 years in a leadership position.
- Strong technical expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting standards (National GAAP and ideally IFRS), and internal controls.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex accounting processes, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, and audit coordination.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas at all levels of the organization.
- Hands-on approach, roll up sleeves and dive into details when necessary, while also maintaining a strategic focus on long-term objectives.
- Fluent in English and German language
