Head of Engineering

To strengthen our growing team, we are looking for a Head of Engineering. Reporting to the CEO, you are accountable for providing sound technical leadership in all engineering aspects of our business. You will communicate with customers, stakeholders, and employees to ensure our company’s technology-based offerings are used appropriately in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. You will make sure we use innovative, yet proven technologies that maximize our customer’s value as well as our productivity and help our company grow. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in renewable energy's current technological trends.

Tasks
- Define strategies for future product/system offerings based on the company’s overall objectives and resources
- Develop & implement product/system offerings for the delivery of decentralized energy solutions
- Identify and obtain the required technologies to deliver the strategy
- Drive a culture of partner integration
- Ensure compliance with safety regulation
- Build up quality assurance processes
- Communicate the technology strategy to partners and investors
- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape, engage in and maintain technology networks
- Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity and work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and service enhancements
- Lead a team of engineers through coaching, feedback, and hands-on career development

**Requirements**:

- Several years of experience in people management, in the areas of Electrical Systems
- Successfully completed university degree in engineering or a similar qualification
- Strong knowledge of power systems and energy management (On-Grid, Off-Grid, Solar PV, Wind, Thermal, Storage,)
- Good system design skills
- An entrepreneurial and performance-driven mindset and a team player mentality with the ability to drive results under own initiative in an agile and fast driving environment
- Authentic, hands-on, walk-the-talk personality
- Passion for exploring new and groundbreaking processes and actively engaged in relevant industry communities
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) - German, French and any other language is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel
