For over 35 years, with offices in 17 counties, Smith has become a leading global distributor and sourcer of electronic components. We’re now calling on all sales enthusiasts to help grow our office in Berlin and Munich.
As a Account Representative, you will be responsible for selling semiconductors, electronic and computer products. You will have the opportunity to build your own customer base by prospecting, servicing and nurturing an account base that includes computer manufacturers and other electronics companies around the world.
Tasks
- Develop relationships with potential customers after cold outreach
- Enter and maintain customer profiles into Smith’s internal sales database
- Cultivate a continuous pipeline of prospects
- Maintain relationships with customers to retain sales
- Interface with the purchasing team to stay informed of current inventory
- Negotiate prices with customers according to market trends
- Develop specific marketing strategies to generate sales leads, pursue industry growth and discover the best way to represent Smith to established clients
**Requirements**:
- Aptitude to connect with customers over the phone, build relationships, and close deals.
- Willingness to make outbound phone calls every day.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail.
- Committed to customer satisfaction, confidentiality and ability to manage proprietary data.
- Fluent in English and another European language (Polish, French, Italian and Swedish)
- Previous sales or cold-calling experience required.
- Strong affinity or experience with electronic components
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- You are an European citizen or holding a work permit in Germany
