**Job Description Summary**: The Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) develops young leaders through business-critical rotational assignments and a rigorous training curriculum at GE Grid Solutions, part of GE Ver-nova, that is electrifying the world with advanced grid technologies and thus accelerating the energy transition. CLP prepares its members for a career path in sales and other commercial functions by learning about GE Grid Solutions technology markets, offering and customers, while also making significant contributions to the business.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the team members from the commercial team and other functions to meet business needs across the organization, being involved in the planning and contributing to the overall business strategy.

The Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) is a two-year program with four rotations, each six months in duration. Assignments will vary but will relate to commercial activity. CLPs are expected to be active outside of their main roles by taking part in or leading various small projects, committees, and other activities. In this role you are expected to leverage your problem-solving and people skills to accomplish solutions both internally and externally.

**Essential Responsibilities**

Throughout the two years duration of the program, its four six-months rotations usually cover assignments in Sales, Commercial/Sales Operations, New World Skills & Pricing as well as global Growth Initiatives & Marketing, ultimately depending on business requirements and the off-program role objectives. However, the CLP can expect the following responsibilities at one point or another of the program:

- A two-year program providing on the job experience with personalized rotation assignments within the commercial functions and other areas of GE Grid Solutions giving you exposure to different areas, products, and leaders.
- Work closely with the Commercial Team to support development of the overall business growth strategy, including market analysis and market opportunities identification and execution of the sales growth plan
- Support the Sales Managers to define the sales strategy for targeted clients and develop a thorough understanding and analysis of the core and adjacent markets and segments.
- Support the Sales Managers in the offer origination and build phase including negotiations with customers; ensure deals properly address customer value propositions, to be won with a healthy risk/reward balance.
- Liaise with Product Management and Technical Tendering to learn and embrace the solution offering of the business and to be at an optimum service of Grid markets.
- Manage and negotiate commercial and contractual risk within the Inquiry to Order (ITO) phase and ensure a proper hand-off to the Order to Remittance (OTR) Phase.
- Preparing and giving technical presentations in front of customers
- Formal mentoring and coaching by senior management.

**Qualifications / Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant science degree, preferably in Electrical, also open to Mechanical, Power Electronics or/and Systems, Industrial Engineering, etc.
- Prior intern or co-op experience, or relevant work experience (0-3 years) preferably in sales, sales support, tendering or marketing in the Energy industry
- Demonstrates a strong interest in the Renewable Energy industry
- English fluency
- Geographic flexibility for rotations
