To support our site in Zülpich we are looking for the next possible date a

**Technical Support Specialist (m/w/d) for our Africa Business - Fulltime (37,5 hrs. / week)**

**Your tasks**:

- Providing technical support to customers throughout the Africa and Middle East zone on production equipment during plant start-ups as well as support on the optimization of existing customer recipes
- These interventions will cover the following areas: Production of bouillon cubes (PRIORITY SECTOR), seasonings, charcuterie, Production of industrial confectionery; sweets, lollies, chewing gum, Biscuit factories, Drinks, Other knowledge such as dairy products can also be studied
- Travelling under the authority of the MEA sales manager for several days in countries such as: Senegal, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Niger, Kenya, Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Middle East countries or any other country
- When there are no technical trips in the MEA area, work is scheduled in the laboratory in Zülpich

**Your profile**:

- You are a food technologist, or you have a food technician education
- You have knowledge of food production lines or
- a technical knowledge and factory experience on production machines for the food industry but complemented by knowledge of laboratory formulation of food products
- You bring at least 5 years of experience in Savory or Sweet Application
- You have a good understanding about equipment and you are being able to assisting in upscaling processes at customers
- You bring experience in traveling to African countries and the willingness to travel for several days
- You can prove a good level of spoken and written English, German and French knowledge is an advantage
- You can work independently, but you are also a good team player
- You are able to advise and support customers in a humble way taking into account the local mentality
