Our current data setup leverages the Microsoft tech stack, operating within a hybrid environment of cloud and on-premises infrastructure. In this role, you will define and execute our data strategy, transforming vast amounts of data into our most valuable asset and driving key business outcomes. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our data is accurate, accessible, secure, and compliant, while fostering a data-driven culture throughout the organization. Another key aspect of this role will be merging the BI and Analytics & Data Science departments into one centralized Data department, creating a team that adds significant value to the business through a more data-driven organization. By doing so, you will foster a data-centric culture where data is leveraged to enhance efficiency and productivity. **Job Description** About your tasks**: - Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy that maximizes the value of data to drive business outcomes. - Promote data-driven decision-making across the organization by providing knowledge and support to various departments, clearly communicate complex data concepts and actionable insights to non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate with business leaders to leverage data and drive business outcomes. - Ensure data is accurate, accessible, secure, and compliant with external regulations and internal guidelines. - Promote the use of advanced analytics, including machine learning and artificial intelligence models, to proactively drive business value. - Improve existing revenue streams through data insights and develop new data-driven business opportunities. - Lead, grow and nurture a team of data engineers, analysts & scientists who are currently working with tools such as MSSQL server, Azure Data Lake, Data Bricks, Synapse, Power BI, etc. **Qualifications** About you**: - You have a great business acumen ensuring our data is leveraged to deliver business value. - Excellent communication skills to engage with senior management and cross-departmental teams, articulating complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Demonstrated track record as a Chief Data Officer or similar senior data leadership role. - Significant work experience in driving change and innovation across the organization. - 15+ years of experience in data management, data governance and data analytics. - You have a deep understanding of data security, privacy, compliance and data protection regulations. - A strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to data management and big data strategies. **Additional Information** About your benefits**: In order to provide you with the best possible support for your individual needs - whether it‘s living a healthy life, having enough time for your family, or developing your skills - we offer a wide range of different, site-specific benefits**.** - ** Work from Home**: If your job does not require you to be present in the office, we can arrange the place you work from individually - even for up to 20 days a year anywhere in the EU. - ** Redcare events**: We promote team-building through creative team events, and celebrate our successes together at regularly scheduled parties. - Vacation: 30 days paid vacation per annum (plus another day on Rosenmontag) and the option to take unpaid vacation of up to 10 days (after one year working with us). - ** Kindergarten Grant**: We offer our employees who pay for childcare in kindergarten 100,00 € (total) per month. - ** Employee discount**:You get a 10 % employee discount on all over the counter, beauty and personal care products in our online store & 20 % discount on nu3. - ** Corporate pension plan**:We offer a company pension scheme and have a dedicated external consultant to offer you the best guidance and advice.
