**Who we are**: atai Life Sciences is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel treatments for mental health disorders so that everyone, everywhere can live a more fulfilled life. Check out our website here. **What is the role**: - Our VP of Investor Relations reports to the CFO and is responsible for the strategy and implementation of investor relations globally, representing atai and telling our story to a broad range of investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders. - You will build a deep knowledge and understanding of the company's pipeline programs including the clinical, regulatory, commercial and competitive landscape. - You will drive our success and will be responsible for helping to shape and deliver our message to the investment community. - You will monitor market developments and work closely with the CFO, CEO, finance department, other members of the executive leadership team to provide feedback on the external view of the organization. **What you will achieve**: - You will define and refine the atai equity story, working closely with the finance team and CFO to tell both current and potential investors who we are and what we stand for. - You will drive collaboration with key internal stakeholders to develop the corporate communications schedule. - You will be the lead and point person for quarterly earnings calls. - You will define and drive the atai investor strategy. - You will be instrumental in driving awareness within the investor community by attending a wide variety of conferences and meetings, and managing senior management's interactions with shareholders, analysts, and attendance at conferences. **Who will be successful in this role**: Those who succeed at atai will be strongly aligned with our values: - **Conscious Care**:We take every action in service of our ultimate goal: to heal mental health disorders for all while caring for ourselves and our team. - **Bold Entrepreneurship**:We are "loosely coupled but tightly aligned" as we strive for excellence over perfection, fast and focused to accelerate innovation for patients. - **Innovative Collaboration**:individuals and teams work together with good humor and no drama, valuing different perspectives and diversity of thought, background, nationality, and style. - **Radical Responsibility**:We take full responsibility for our circumstances. We grow and learn from failures **To succeed in this specific role, the following will also be important**: - You will have proven experience at a similar publicly traded (bio-tech) company. - You will have a strong scientific background in life sciences (PhD preferred) and be able to think strategically, understanding evolving business priorities and market forces to build and adapt tactics. - You can plan and execute campaigns and events to address and convince the right investor audiences. - You will be innovative and data driven, able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions. - You will be a "player-coach" actively contributing to solving problems rather than merely delegating to your team. - You will have shown prior success in delivering consistent results under time pressures while managing multiple priorities & stakeholders. - You will have strong international experience and demonstrated ability to flex your style dependent on cultural needs. - You will demonstrate a consistent growth mindset, always looking for opportunities to learn and grow as a leader and as a human. - You will need to be based in New York, London or Berlin and be willing to come into the office 2 - 3 days a week (covid restrictions dependent). **Equal Opportunity Employer** At atai, we are committed to providing an environment of diversity, inclusion and mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and employees.
