Head of Finance

We are looking for a **Head of Finance & Investor Relations** to take full ownership of finance and investor relations within Cherry Ventures. We are entrepreneurs first, and investors second. We invest in industry-defining companies, particularly in consumer technology. We would love to add you to our great team culture and we have offices in Berlin and London.
**The Role**
This is a dual-function position:
- i) working with existing and future investors of Cherry's funds together with the CFO and;
- ii) drive portfolio growth through financial advice to our companies.
The role requires a proactive individual to work closely with the leadership to further build a best-in-class finance function.
Whilst no two days are the same, day to day your role would include the following:
Investor relations & fundraising:
- Drive fundraising success through building out the firm's fundraising strategy and execution
- Update investors on fund performance and progress of the firm
- Support fund structuring from both a Finance, Legal, Compliance and Governance perspective
- Support fund management and efficient deployment through fund modeling and fund reserve management
- Drive portfolio company KPI reporting and benchmarking on a portfolio level across funds
Finance/fundraising advisory:
- As part of our strategic resources team, which delivers key value-added services to our portfolio companies, you will act as a sparring partner to our founders for all things fundraising
- Help support our portfolio companies in developing and implementing strategies for raising equity and debt
- Support in strategic financial planning and analysis
**About you**:
- Extensive experience in a broad role within a Fund/Investment Management/Family Office/Investment Banking/Professional Services environment
- A recognized legal or finance qualification
- Broad operational/finance experience
You will need:
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Process orientated and attention to detail
- A strong interest in venture capital and the start-up ecosystem
- Team player and active independent contributor who can learn quickly with a hands-on approach
