Head of Innovation Hub

We are looking for an experienced Head of Innovation Hub to lead the innovation team to cultivate a culture of innovation from its inception to shape the future of our organization. As the driving force behind our innovation initiatives, you will have the unique opportunity to establish robust structures, formats, and processes, taking ideas from conception to tangible prototypes. Furthermore, we would like to foster a culture of innovation into the whole organization together with our counterparts from the business units to continuously ideate potential innovations and effectively scale proven prototypes into the organization.

The role is located in Hamburg and reports to the Chief Digital Officer. Working from home is more than welcome, however we also believe in a mix where physical presence is important as we are just a great bunch of colleagues who like to see and meet each other in person.

**» Your Responsibilities**:

- Build and lead a high-performing innovation team
- Develop the innovation strategy aligned with our organizational goals in our key products and functions
- Manage the innovation pipeline from ideation to implementation according to customer needs and key strategic search fields
- Develop formats and processes including clear value-driven decision gates as well as relevant formats for all steps of the innovation cycle from problem discovery to successful product-market fit
- Co-develop the innovation operating model as well as the roles and responsibility model between the innovation hub and the core organization
- Foster a culture of innovation within the innovation hub and the core business
- Establish close collaboration and communication between the innovation hub and the core business
- Portfolio and stakeholder management regarding all ongoing innovation initiatives
- Establish and curate the relevant logistics innovation ecosystem to continuously be at the forefront of innovative developments within logistics
- Explore and establish relationships with further industry and/or other relevant platforms that are essential to drive innovations

- Experience in building and leading cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proven track record in driving innovation and/or transformation initiatives
- Ability to identify and leverage emerging technologies and trends
- Strategic networking and relationship-building skills
- Experience in managing innovation ecosystems and partnerships
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive organizational change
- Project management and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for driving innovation
- Experience in managing of third party providers (e.g. Startups etc.)
- Financial acumen, including venture evaluation and the ability to develop sound business cases.
