**Video Operations Intern (f/m/d)**

We are currently seeking additional support in our Video Operations department in Berlin which manages the delivery, preparation, ingest, compliance, localisation and publishing of programs for our Da Vinci and Azoomee linear channels, digital products and VOD packages.

Macademia is an award-winning global EdTech company providing educational programming and games for children. In 2019, London-based Azoomee acquired Berlin-based Da Vinci Media and combined the brands under Macademia, a new topco company. Macademia was formed to make additional acquisitions in the continued drive to consolidate the EdTech and edutainment kids’ segment.

The Azoomee and Da Vinci brands have established distribution relationships with 550+ PayTV operators, streaming platforms, telcos and OEMs who distribute their channels and apps globally. Partners include Vodafone, Telefonica/O2, Sling, Rakuten, PCCW, Apple, Sky, Roku, and Amazon. In total, our products reach an audience of 70 million kids & families with premium TV shows, documentaries and over 200 interactive games in 22 languages.

Our mission is to help parents raise exceptional humans. We are best known for our unique selection of STEAM programming including award-winning TV shows, documentaries and educational activities for kids 7+.

**What will you be doing**

As an intern you will primarily be responsible for ingesting new material and will build experience in the contemporary broadcast and on demand video industry. You will learn the processes of:

- Material delivery, ingest and managing assets within our content management system
- Ensuring quality control for all video and audio files and documents
- Adaptation of materials for broadcast following media workflows (creating screenshots, program excerpts, timecoding, editing, etc.)
- Localization in 22 languages
- Publishing material to multiple platforms and clients in a wide variety of video formats
- Broadcast operations and uploading material to playout servers

**Who you are**
- Recent graduate in a media-related field looking to gain work experience
- organized and good at problem-solving
- tech-savy and passionate about video
- a motivated self-starter, not intimidated by a fast-paced working environment
- available immediately

**What we offer**
- Initially 6 months internship position
- Full-time 40-hours/week
- Hybrid work
- The ability to work abroad anytime for up to 90 days in every 180 day period. (Benefit given after successful 3-month probationary period)
- The last Friday of every month is a half-day
- 25 holidays + 6 Fridays in summer

**What skills you need**
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere
- Interest in media operations, particularly technical and broadcast
- Affinity for video hardware and software
- Good Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills
- Fluency in English. Additional languages are appreciated
- Since you will be working with edutainment programs for families and kids, it helps if you are interested in those
