- Liaise with internal stakeholders to verify, collect, and organize payroll data before submitting to payroll providers for Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and Austria - potentially further markets in the future.
- Verify payroll data including hours worked, deductions, bonuses, and other earnings.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of working time entries and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
**Compliance and Reporting**:
- Ensure compliance with local payroll tax and social security regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in payroll and tax laws.
- Experience in International mobility and related tax-compliance cases would be a plus
- Calculate vacation accruals every month for all payroll countries managed.
- Manage data collection of monthly personnel costs and review the data for accuracy and completeness.
**Record Keeping and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries for the leadership and other stakeholders.
- Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to payroll, including employee questions and concerns.
**System Maintenance and Improvement**:
- Assist in the maintenance of payroll data in Workday.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.
**Collaboration and Communication**:
- Work closely with the wider People & Culture team, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll processing and integration.
- Provide support during audits and assist in the preparation of audit materials.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
- Proficiency in both German and English language is needed.
- Proficiency with Workday and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Good understanding of payroll tax and social security regulation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
