Recreation Assistant

**Duties**:

- Works as an assistant for the Facilities Operations Team Leader who makes specific assignments, explains polices and procedures and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects.
- Job may require work in various facilities depending on requirements as determined by customer demand or programmed activities.
- Issues/receives recreational equipment to authorized users. Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected safeguards funds and makes daily bank deposits.
- Cleans recreation equipment, supplies and facility area. Operates equipment and performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment. Organizes and conducts classes, programs, tours and trips.
- Conducts surveillance of total facility and reports any unusual findings to supervisor. Arranges furniture and equipment for various types and sizes of events; puts up and takes down special event decorations. May assist in conducting event.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Must maintain a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to work willing and able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to physically capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to submit random drug test.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
- Citizenship eligible under country SOFA agreement
- In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area may routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties
- Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- Must be able to satisfy physical requirements and complete mandatory training within 90 days of appointment

**Qualifications**:
**Minimal Qualified Critera**:
1. Possess work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the following duties: secure facility, issue equipment to customers, collect fees (ex: registration for trip, payment of rented equipment etc.), and monitor inventory (ex. Supplies, equipment etc.)
- 2. Possess and have the ability to maintain a valid driver's license.**Best Qualified Criteria**:
1. Possess previous Outdoor Recreation experience and/ or certifications/licenses organizing and leading activities, classes, events, programs, tours and/or trips.
- 2. Possess experience and/ or certifications preforming basic maintenance and repairs on Outdoor Recreation equipment like bicycles, climbing equipment, firearms, skis/snowboard, trailers and/ or vehicles.**Claimed experience must be verifiable through your resume.
