Solution Architect

Overview:
Join our global Architecture and Technology Leadership team to support the development of Connected Ecosystems in the domain of Fixed Monitoring Systems (FMS), including FGFD and HVAC. As a Solution Architect, you will define architectures and processes at the ecosystem level, encompassing multiple interconnected products. This role requires strong collaboration with project management, product ownership, and technical leaders from the contributing NPD teams to drive the implementation of a cohesive strategy for solution-level architectures.

As the Solution Architect for Infrastructure, your primary focus will be on defining architectures, service structures, and APIs to implement the vertical connectivity strategy. Key projects and products you will support include Parasense, the Universal Controller Platform (UCP) and next-generation transmitters.

**Responsibilities**:
**Design and create solution architectures for global platforms and connected ecosystems**:

- ** Solution Architecture**: Create and maintain the solution architecture for global platforms and connected ecosystems within the FMS business verticals.
- ** Collaboration**: Support and collaborate with NPD teams to ensure seamless adoption and implementation of the architecture.
- ** Documentation**: Create and maintain ecosystem architecture documentation and diagrams using the C4 model.
- ** Support Development Teams**: Assist cloud software development teams in implementing the SDP architecture process and quality goals, working closely with the vertical’s Cloud Architect.
- ** Communication**: Establish and maintain communication between NPD teams across different disciplines, supporting them in creating network communication interfaces and data contracts.
- ** Stakeholder Engagement**: Proactively communicate with key stakeholders (project management, product ownership, technical leaders) to ensure timely progress and resolve dependencies before they impact the connected solution schedule.

**Specifically for Fixed Monitoring Services (FMS)**:

- ** Industrial Grid 2.0 Vision**:Create solution architectures that enable the Industrial Grid 2.0 vision, seamlessly integrating FMS devices into a cohesive user experience.
- ** Cross-Vertical Collaboration**: Work closely with the solution architect and stakeholders of the Connected Worker business vertical to ensure a consistent user experience for monitoring and asset management functionalities of portable and fixed detection instruments.
- ** Data Communication**: Support the FGFD product architecture of connected MSA products to enable data communication to MSA cloud and data services.
- ** End-to-End Vision**: Define and propagate an end-to-end vision of the Connected Solution, including Parasense and the Universal Controller Platform (UCP), showing data flow and structures with a focus on user experience.
- ** Standardization**: Standardize data contracts for FMS MSA products in operation and development based on the Connectivity Transaction Layer (CTL).
- ** Tools and Needs Identification**: Identify the tools and needs (internal and external) required to build and operate these solutions.
- ** Customer Experience Review**:Review the existing customer experience in FMS and ensure a holistic and consistent strategy across the ecosystem.

**Develop and maintain ecosystem architecture strategies and standardization**:

- ** Strategy Development**: Collaborate with fellow solution architects to define and implement solution architecture strategies as part of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- ** Consistency Across Teams**: Ensure that NPD teams adhere to these strategies, addressing technical challenges consistently across all global platforms and connected ecosystems.
- ** Communication and Review**: Regularly communicate, review, and update these strategies both internally and with the global R&D organization to ensure they align with industry standards and are efficient.

**Cooperate with the technology leadership on future technology integration**:

- ** Technology Landscape Contribution**: Collaborate with the corresponding technology leader to shape the technology landscape of the global platform or connected ecosystem.
- ** Roadmap Integration**: Incorporate the technology roadmap into the solution architecture to ensure the smooth adoption and integration of novel technologies and products in the future.

Qualifications:
**Experience required**:

- ** Professional Experience**: Minimum of 10 years, including architecture design and implementation, engineering, and new product development, with a proven track record of producing meaningful results
- ** Technical Decision-Making**: Demonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions that positively impact business outcomes
- ** Domain Knowledge**: Strong technical expertise and experience in the development of safety products
