**Details of the role and how it fits into the team**

The Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) EMEA Coverage team ensures the Operational Risk Management Framework is implemented effectively and consistently by country and divisional management teams throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

As a 2LoD function, we review & challenge the structure and activities of the 1LoD functions from a non-financial risk (NFR) perspective. We seek to exercise our mandate in a collaborative spirit that adds value to the business, while not compromising our independence.

**Your key responsibilities**
- You are the primary point of contact for 1-3 EMEA countries for all Operational Risk-related matters including loss event management, risk assessment, risk mitigation, risk monitoring and other NFRM framework tasks
- You support and eventually represent our Regional EMEA Coverage function at governance meetings for one of the 3 CIB business divisions (Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, Capital Release Unit) and/or Treasury, which requires continuous ramp-up of business/strategy knowledge
- You contribute to NFRM-wide and EMEA-specific team objectives, e.g. continuous development of our regional Target Operating Model (TOM), people development, regional embedding of the NFRM framework and data/tech transformation
- You support (or potentially sub-lead) change projects aimed at further refining of our TOM and our Book of Work
- Support ramp-up our new ‘areas of expertise’ (e.g. ‘ESG’ and ‘FinTech’) and the roll-out of evolving global NFRM framework elements such as Risk Assessments, Scenario Analysis, Key Controls Assurance and Risk Appetite Allocation to regional & country levels
- You report into the Head of EMEA Country Coverage, who is a key member of the management team under the Head EMEA Coverage.

**Your skills and experiences**
- You are an experienced Risk Specialist or AVP with min. 3-5 years in Risk or a Risk-related function
- Ideally you have a background in non-financial risk and a good understanding of one of the 3 CIB Business Divisions or Treasury (Investment Bank knowledge/experience is especially welcome)
- You possess strong analytical and communication skills (English language essential)
- You are comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment
- You demonstrate creativity and are open to unfamiliar topics, change and new ways of working
