Therefore, we are looking for the right person as (Senior) Renewables Originator in Hamburg. You will report to the Director Renewables Origination. Business Area (BA) Markets maximizes the value of Vattenfall’s portfolio by optimizing and dispatching, hedging and sourcing for Vattenfall's assets and customers. We serve as Vattenfall’s single market access to energy commodity markets trading in electricity, emissions, fuels, freight, and renewable certificates. We are active across Europe with around 500 professionals working from Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Denmark. BU Customers is enabling both Vattenfall and our customers to become fossil free. We do this by offering power purchase agreements to operators of wind or solar parks and by connecting customers to fossil free electricity. We provide market access services to large customers and (regional) energy suppliers and connect demand-side flexibility of industry to stabilize the electricity grid. We furthermore source electricity for Vattenfall’s consumer - and business customers with a strong focus to increase renewable sources of electricity. What will you do? - Originate new business in renewable energy markets according to the needs of Vattenfall’s portfolio and in line with Vattenfall’s strategy and purpose - Identify deal opportunities, with strong focus on mid and long term Renewable Energy Solutions, PPAs, Corporate PPAs - Originate, negotiate & structure complex transactions with external counterparties - Grow renewables business and execute asset strategy with Business Area Wind - Build and maintain relationships in the german and / or dutch energy market particularly focused of renewable generators and customers - Lead the deal process from beginning to end, including liaison with all internal stakeholders, plan and carry out negotiations Location Hamburg **Profile**: Who are you? - >5 years experience in the relevant power market, ideally in Renewables Origination - Proper understanding of the power energy market - Proven track record of deal initiation to deal closing - Resilient and determined to execute the Vattenfall’s strategy and to reach our goals - Strong networker and able to build trust and engagement, both within the company and externally - Strong commercial sense and a good understanding of trading, risk management, credit risk, back office and finance functions - Willing communicator, able to co-ordinate the deal approvals process within Vattenfall - Academic degree - technical or economical, Master of Science or higher - Able to work independently to originate and close deals, but nevertheless comfortable in a team environment Additional information **Offer**: Good remuneration, a challenging and international work environment, and the possibility to work with some of the best in the field.
