**Your role**

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and self-confident Senior Legal Counsel supporting our fast-growing renewable energies business with a strong focus on international wind projects.

As a Senior Legal Counsel within the Construction & Procurement Law Department for Onshore and PV in Europe and Australia you will work alongside other members of the RWE Renewables Legal Team closely cooperate with other support functions to deliver a holistic and streamlined service to the business of RWE Renewables.

**Your future plans**
- Provide legal support to procurement activities of the RWE Renewables business onshore in Europe and Australia, i.e. wind onshore, PV & battery storage, with a focus on construction and operation of wind project onshore in Germany
- Be one of the key legal advisors handling all legal matters of RWE Renewables’ renewable energy projects.
- Advise the business on various procurement contracts, e.g. development of drafts and negotiation of related documentation, balance of plant agreements (BoPs), EPC(I) & turnkey contracts, purchase agreements for components, O&M agreements as well as service agreements.
- Provide support (including liaising with external counsel) in related dispute resolution situations.
- Drive standardization and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop non-standard, customized solutions when needed to address complex project challenges.
- Establish and nurture effective cross-functional and cross-cultural working relationships with legal but also business colleagues in the regions of interest and the wider group
- Potentialy leading (lead lawyer) small project teams (2-6 persons) consiting of internal and external experts.

**Your profile**
- Lawyer qualified in the laws of Germany such as “Volljurist”, “Diplom-Wirtschaftsjurist”or Bachelor of Laws with excellent academic credentials, further qualification or experience in other jurisdiction is beneficial
- At least 5 years’ experience of working in construction and procurement law in an international law firm or company, preferably in the renewables energy sector with a focus on complex international projects
- Outstanding commercial, technical and strategic understanding.
- Organizational, analytical and communication skills
- Customer centrism and solution-oriented mindset
- High level of engagement and motivation, enjoy working in an international team including travel
- Flexibility and ability to work professionally and accurately under pressure and challenging deadlines as well as to prioritize your tasks
- Personal drive, willingness to take initiative and high level of commitment and solution-oriented mindset
- Very good command of English language is essential
