**About **lemon.markets**

We're on a mission to open 100 million brokerage accounts within the next ten years. Building the infrastructure for FinTech companies to launch an investing feature or product in Europe. Delivering the full value chain of brokerage through one API.

Over the last quarters, we focused on bringing the first version of the API to the market. Thousands of developers signed up and hundreds started to build their individual use cases with us. This resulted in 80+ inquiries from companies to launch their own stock trading UI with lemon.markets. With 15 million of fresh funding, we are now taking the next steps toward our mission: Building out our capabilities to allow (Fin)Tech companies to offer investment opportunities to their customers.

We have experienced first hand that brokerage infrastructure is broken. It’s a messy and complex problem that will take time to solve. But that’s exactly what we enjoy. Going to places nobody else dares and shielding our customers from the biggest pain. **Your Mission**:
As People & Culture Lead you are tasked to make working at lemon.markets as smooth & empowering as possible by taking care of all things people & culture. We are looking for a generalist who is eager to build an inclusive, dynamic, personal-growth-oriented environment.

This is your opportunity to build a great employee experience for all lemoneers, from the core aspects (HR processes, feedback processes, culture, D&I) to helping to build an entire system ahead for the future growth (learning and development, retention, VSOP). We are a diverse & international team. Navigating different locations, working models (remote or onsite) and legislative set-ups, and yet we all share a common mission and principles when working together.

This means you will have a wide set of responsibilities ranging from managing onboarding, organising offsites & events like our lemon.talks, to supporting with payroll. Allowing you a high degree of ownership & impact in here. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to shape our working space by taking over the responsibility for our HQ.

In this role, you will have the best of both worlds. An early stage start-up and lean company, enabling you to get things done. While having a good foundation of processes to go off and team members across Talent, BizOps and the leadership to strategically collaborate with.
- Own our HR platform and maintain our HR database. Being responsible for the preparation of employment contracts, supplementary agreements, and other agreements.
- You will own the onboarding process for new joiners of the company and manage lemoneers through all stages of the employee cycle. Make them feel welcome, set them up for success and help them grow.
- Help build a strong framework and the processes around the entire employee life cycle to ensure a great employee experience & professional development.
- Be responsible for the implementation of tools as well as the maintenance and professionalisation of our digital processes.
- Living by our principles is key to us. Therefore, you’ll play a key role in nurturing our company culture & building the right framework & activities around it. This means you will help with everything from organising team events and offsites, to creating cultural moments that promote our principles within the company. You will be able to define and drive this forward.
- Design & craft company policies (e.g. code of conduct, employee handbook).
- Be responsible for our work space, our lemon.markets HQ and make sure our team has everything they need to do their best work e.g. office supplies, coordinate with external partners and all the small things needed to make lemoneers have a great time.
- Communicate with our tax consultants and finance team about all things payroll.
- You have gained profound experience working within the **People function (HR Management, People & Culture or Operations)**, ideally in an early-stage startup, fintech or tech company.
- You have led your own projects & initiatives e.g. the implementation of new tools, developing new People Ops processes, leading workshops for teams or the planning of company events.
- **You bring empathy and good communication skills to the table.** You will be the go-to person for all people-related questions for all of our lemoneers on a day-to-day basis.
- **You genuinely care about people & culture.** We believe exceptional people build exceptional products. Enabling employees being at their best & fostering a great company culture driven by clear principles is something you are very passionate about.
