Senior Procurement Specialist

JUMBO Consulting Group are recruiting for an experienced procurement expert to join our growing team in Hamburg, Germany. We are seeking a procurement manager that has a track record in the offshore wind sector, ideally with experience with the foundations, cables and/or offshore substation scopes.

**Mission**

To enter into contracts with the right suppliers on pricing and terms of delivery supporting realisation of the project in accordance with defined success criteria and the Project Procurement Strategy.

To ensure that contractual obligations are met, opportunities are pursued and risks mitigated to maximise value and support realisation of the Project in accordance with defined success criteria

**Role & Responsibility**

**_Procurement Management:_**
- Responsible for the procurement and conclusion of designated contracts at a Contract Level
- The development, implementation and execution of Contract Procurement Strategies, hereunder identify all value items, set well-defined award criteria and develop evaluation models
- On a day-to-day basis through the procurement process; tendering, negotiations, and contracting:

- Lead and coordinate commercial, technical, financial and legal expertise
- Look to provide maximum value to the Project in terms of quality, price and schedule while minimizing risks;
- Lead and perform the complete procurement process including issuing of requests for information, requests for proposals and tenders, evaluating proposals, recommending the award of and finalising contracts;
- Ensure that the procurement process is executed according to applicable governance, policies and procedures, and documented in order to allow transparency and traceability throughout;
- Manage and coordinate the flow of information internally and externally keeping all stakeholders informed on progress;
- Finalize the commercial and contractual deal as a basis for the contractual finalization through standard general conditions and/or managing exceptions to those together with legal and the main stakeholders;
- Find compromises and solutions to drive negotiations to a close under time pressure;
- Actively participate in supply chain relationship management (SRM), including: general communications and regular meetings, maintaining and improving supply chain and market knowledge.

**_Business Development:_**
- Marketing, e.g. Contributing to editorials, industry news and events.
- Direct and indirect Sales; customer and stakeholder engagement
- Tools and Procedure; support to the overall group through contributing to the development of tools and procedures including the Procurement and Contracts Management Competence Centers.

**_Training & Development:_**
- Contribute or host informal and formal training sessions with the overall group.
- The opportunity to work with other renewable energy technologies, which can include power-to-X, energy storage, green hydrogen, ammonia and other exciting technologies.

**_Team & Colleagues:_**
- Work closely and in collaboration with JUMBO's growing European team and the client(s) project team(s)
- You will also work closely with the wider JUMBO organisation that currently consists of 55+ persons across Denmark, UK, Germany, Poland, Norway, Australia, Korea and Taiwan.

**Recommended Qualifications / Competences**
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, engineering, law or other analytical/technical degree.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in a matrix organization.
- Experience within the offshore wind industry in the capacity of Procurement Manager.
- Knowledge of the foundations, cables and/or offshore substation scopes.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
- Structured and methodical way of working.
- Ability to project manage processes and lead negotiations.
