Working Student Decarbonisation Intelligence

The Energy Transition department works on the strategic implementation of measures to achieve RWE's decarbonisation goals. You will work in the Decarbonisation Intelligence team. The team tracks the development of relevant topics such as energy storage, energy generation and decarbonisation and derives measures and recommendations from this. Depending on your qualifications, interests and our needs, you will work on the various topics.

**About the role**

The main tasks include:

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect technical and economic data.
- Developing a model to compare different technologies.
- Produce detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.
- Support ongoing projects and participate in team meetings and discussions.

**Job requirements and experience**

For the advertised position, we are looking for students who are passionate about the energy industry and want to drive the energy transition forward with a great team.

We are looking for the following qualities:

- You are enrolled in an advanced engineering degree programme, a business degree programme with a technical focus, energy management or related field.
- A keen interest in energy generation, storage and decarbonisation.
- You have an analytical, structured and practice-orientated way of working as well as strong problem-solving skills.
- You are fluent in written and spoken German and English.
- Experience with data analysis and modelling tools (e.g. Excel, MATLAB, Python).
- Good economic and financial understanding, especially in relation to the energy markets.

**Advantageous, but not essential**
- Knowledge of the political and legal framework in the energy industry.
