What we do

The climate transition demands radical changes in the way we do business and trillions in new capital investments. The EU has mobilized sustainable finance regulation to be a key means of driving this green capital into more sustainable business activities.

Based out of the Berlin AI Campus and financially backed by Merantix AG, Briink is a passionate team of entrepreneurs, data scientists, software engineers, designers, and sustainability experts. Our mission is to leverage the scale of AI to help businesses and financial institutions transform sustainable finance regulation into technology solutions that can be adopted at scale.

Our first product transforms the EU taxonomy for sustainable activities into a machine learning powered Sustainability-as-a-Service platform to enhance the ability of financial institutions and corporations to assess taxonomy eligibility and alignment, and make it easier to access the green capital so crucial to the climate transition. We plan to further develop our product to cover other use cases in the sustainable finance domain, including inter alia the complex array of KPIs emerging under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.

Your role

Joining as a Sustainable Finance Intern you will be joining a dynamic, fast-growing startup with secured seed financing and play an important role in its growth journey. You will dive deep into complex sustainable finance topics in close collaboration with the product, design, engineering, and business development teams. You will gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies in one of the strongest machine learning organizations in Europe, and hopefully have fun along the way

**Profile**:

- Strong academic background from a top-tier University, with a business, legal, sustainability, or finance background being a plus
- Have gained first professional experience in a high performing corporate, consulting, or law firm environment
- Excellent English verbal and communication skills, interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
- Strong research and analytical skills
- A genuine interest in working for a technology company on a mission to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future

**Ideally, you have**:

- previous experience in the field of sustainable finance
- the ability to relocate to Berlin (unless you’re here already)
