Job Title: Healthcare Policy and Advocacy Manager

Essity is a leading global hygiene and healthcare company committed to improving the quality of life through high-quality hygiene and healthcare solutions. We are seeking a Public Affairs Manager with a primary focus on our wound care business to operate under the direct supervision of the Senior Business Director of the Business Unit Health and Medical, Germany.

Your Role
  • Advise the local management team on trends, risks, and opportunities driven by policy changes relating to wound care.
  • Translate business objectives to short, mid, and long-term policy objectives and activities.
  • Lead the development of Essity Health & Medical positions in relevant wound care topics and arrange for substantiating facts and arguments.
  • Develop a stakeholder engagement plan with clear and measurable KPIs.
  • Proactively engage in dialogues with key stakeholders to seek win-win solutions.
  • Maintain and expand a high-level network within the medical device industry, government authorities, healthcare providers, health economic organizations, patient representatives, and other relevant decision-making representatives.
Requirements
  • High ethical standards.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the medical device or healthcare industry with at least 5 years in Public Affairs, Governmental Affairs, or the Health Policy area.
  • Solid and detailed understanding of the German medical device market and policy frameworks, decision-making processes, and stakeholders.
  • Established and active network with government institutions, payers, policy-makers, KOLs, and influencers in the healthcare and medical device arena.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and verbal).
