About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at Siemens Mobility GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of air conditioning systems for our locomotives and control cars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume technical responsibility for the air conditioning of driver's cabs, ensuring quality, cost, and performance targets are met.
  • Integrate components, including control software, thermal flow simulation, and air conditioning units, to design and develop efficient and reliable systems.
  • Prepare supplier specifications, including design documents and functional specifications, to ensure seamless integration with other teams.
  • Conduct initial sample tests at suppliers and in-vehicle tests to verify technical and normative requirements.
  • Closely coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure responsible and proper implementation in projects.
  • Collaborate with international engineering teams across Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, the United States, India, and other locations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a technical field, such as mechatronics, mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, or electrical engineering.
  • Initial professional experience in engineering, preferably in rail vehicles, automobiles, shipbuilding, or aircraft construction.
  • Advanced knowledge in air conditioning of rail vehicles, automobiles, aircraft, or ships.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills; good German language skills are a plus.
