Job Title: Subcontractor Manager

We are looking for a Subcontractor Manager to implement and execute subsystem and equipment procurement for satellites, including bus and payload subsystems and equipment, as well as ground support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and execution of subcontract procurement
  • Management of subcontract documents and negotiation of commercial and contractual agreements
  • Management of suppliers and subcontractors for delivery on cost, quality, and time
  • Regular program and management reviews during subcontract lifetime
  • Competitive tendering process in an international environment
  • Acquisition of subsystem and equipment prices
  • Understanding of price drivers for certain subsystems and equipment
  • Subcontractor rating and feedback
  • Commercial and institutional procurements within customer-driven requirements
  • Regular reporting on status and progress of procurements

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or Opto-Electronics
  • Experience in space sector highly desirable
  • Several years of work experience in development, manufacturing, qualification, and testing of complex systems
  • Extensive experience in procurement and management of complex subcontracts
  • Experience in legal matters and contract negotiation processes
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English
  • Process-oriented working discipline
  • High motivation and team spirit
