Subcontractor Manager (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

Implementation and execution of subsystem and equipment procurement for satellites including bus and payload subsystems and equipment as well as ground support equipment, especially for predevelopments, Phase A & B1 study projects Management of required subcontract documents (contract, SOW, specification) and negotiation of the subcontract commercial and contractual agreements Management of the supplier and subcontract for a delivery on cost, on quality and on time from contract implementation until delivery of hardware Perform regular program and management reviews during subcontract lifetime Implement and manage a competitive tendering process in an international environment Acquire an overview over subsystem and equipment prices Understand the price driver for certain subsystems and equipment in order to achieve financial targets Perform subcontractor rating including feedback and definition of correcting actions with the subcontractor Manage commercial and institutional procurements within the customer driven requirements Regularly report on status and progress of procurements Be the focal point of contact for a procurement domain and the subsystem, equipment and service range connected to this domain Support early program cost estimation Evaluate suppliers for your domain worldwide Support further definition and optimization of internal process

Your Qualifications

Engineering degree in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics or Opto-Electronics, Physics or similar technical areas Experience in space sector is highly desirable Several years of work experience in development, manufacturing, qualification and testing of complex systems, preferably in the space sector Extensive experience in the procurement and management of complex subcontracts Experience in legal matters and contract negotiation processes Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English Process-oriented working discipline High motivation and team spirit Readiness for frequent travels inside Europe in the frame of our international subcontractors in various ESA member states
