Digital Solutions and Satellite Application Facilities Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled intern to join our team in the Digital Solutions and Satellite Application Facilities Division. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, including the development of AI-Factories within the context of Destination Earth.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the internal proof of concept team discussing various techniques with HPC stakeholders;
- Support the actual implementation of the proof of concept;
- Assess the possibilities of AI-ML in this context and provide an assessment to the team;
- Develop small software elements as necessary;
- Support relevant day-to-day activities within the team.
- Ability to work effectively in English;
- Computer literacy;
- Intrinsic motivation and curiosity about the internship subject;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
- Ability to take the initiative in researching ideas;
- Ability to collect, collate, conceptualize, and present information clearly.
- Experience in Python programming;
- First experience in data communication across wide area networks and data communication related applications would be advantageous.
The internship will require a non-disclosure agreement and potentially a basic background check for the intern, due to the sensitivity of the provided information. No salary is paid to interns who are still in studies, however a daily allowance and contribution to travel / accommodation costs may be provided.
As of 1 January, interns may be granted a daily allowance of EUR 25 per day, relocation cost reimbursement of up to EUR, and accommodation cost reimbursement of up to EUR per month.
Interns are responsible for providing their own health and accident insurance and for finding their own accommodation in Darmstadt. Consideration may also be given if the internship is not a mandatory part of curriculum, for a maximum duration of three months.
