Job Title: Digital Solutions and Satellite Application Facilities Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team in Darmstadt, Germany. As a Digital Solutions and Satellite Application Facilities Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the development of digital solutions and satellite application facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development of digital solutions and satellite application facilities
  • Support the implementation of proof-of-concept projects
  • Assess the possibilities of AI-ML in the context of data management across wide area networks
  • Develop small software elements as necessary
  • Support day-to-day activities within the team
Requirements:
  • Be a bachelor or master student with mandatory internship requirements in a relevant engineering field
  • Have the ability to work effectively in English
  • Be computer literate
  • Be intrinsically motivated and curious about the internship subject
  • Be able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Have the ability to take the initiative in researching ideas
  • Have the ability to collect, collate, conceptualize, and present information clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Python programming
  • First experience in data communication across wide area networks and data communication-related applications would be advantageous
Employment Conditions:

The internship will require a non-disclosure agreement and potentially a basic background check for the intern, due to the sensitivity of the provided information.

No salary is paid to interns who are still in studies, however a daily allowance and contribution to travel/accommodation costs may be provided.

As of 1 January, interns may be granted a daily allowance of EUR 25 per day, relocation cost reimbursement of up to EUR, and accommodation cost reimbursement of up to EUR per month.

Interns are responsible for providing their own health and accident insurance and for finding their own accommodation in Darmstadt.

Consideration may also be given if the internship is not a mandatory part of curriculum, for a maximum duration of three months.
