Role Overview

The Educational Equality Institute is seeking a dedicated German Language Teacher to join our team. As a language teacher, you will play a vital role in enhancing the language skills of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to teach basic language skills to students.
  • Conduct online or in-person language classes for students, providing personalized feedback and guidance.
  • Evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to develop effective teaching strategies.
  • Support students in achieving their language learning goals, providing additional resources and guidance as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in teaching or tutoring language learners, with a focus on German language instruction.
  • Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating a range of teaching methods and materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson plans.
  • Passion for helping underprivileged communities through education, with a commitment to promoting language skills and cultural understanding.
  • Fluent in German, with a strong command of written and spoken language.
  • Good level of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and students.
