We are seeking a skilled German-English interpreter to join our team at Homeland Language Services.

This is a remote position that requires a high level of proficiency in both German and English, as well as excellent communication and listening skills.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of interpreting experience, a strong knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and professional interpretation services for clients worldwide.
  • Take notes during calls and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry-specific vocabulary and terminology.
  • Participate in internal training and professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with team leaders and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in German and English (native level or equivalent).
  • 1+ years of interpreting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Awareness of legal terminology is a plus.
  • International certifications in the healthcare industry are a plus.
  • High school diploma in your native language.
  • High emotional intelligence and tolerance to different cultures.
  • Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.

Technical Requirements:

  • Mac or PC with MacOS 10.13 or Windows 10 or newer.
  • 4 GB RAM Minimum (8GB recommended).
  • Excellent ethernet connection (Wi-Fi is not allowed). Internet speed of 4Mbps Download/Upload.
  • Noise canceling wired USB Headsets.
