Responsibilities
Engage actively in shaping a global, cross-departmental initiative aimed at optimizing data center capacity. Gain insights into the entire project lifecycle, from initial setup through planning and execution. Analyze and enhance process implementations to achieve superior collaboration across processes.Role Overview
Manage the Enable Now Document Management System. Enhance the overall structure of documentation within Enable Now. Develop process flows in Signavio at Level 1 and Level 2. Create and revise documents in Enable Now and Wiki, documenting existing processes. Identify and address gaps or redundancies in documentation. Work on improving documentation for specific areas such as Build Configuration Repository, Production Planning, and Quality Management. Participate in Change Advisory Board meetings focusing on documentation updates, including existing documentation that requires revisions, new documentation needs, and support for locating materials in Enable Now. Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including automation, analysis, implementation support, and documentation.Qualifications
Currently enrolled student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences. Preferred fields of study include Business Informatics and Data Sciences. Proficient in MS Office products, Confluence, Jira, Signavio, and LeanIX. Language proficiency: fluent in English; German is a plus. Soft skills: enthusiastic about collaborating with diverse teams, quick learner, passionate, motivated, creative, and self-directed.About Your Team
The Global Cloud Infrastructure & Delivery (GCID) team is central to SAP's Cloud Strategy. GCID provides services for cloud infrastructure, lifecycle management, and cloud operations to our SAP business units and, through them, to our external clients.
Within GCID, the Data Center Management and Infrastructure Lifecycle Services (DLS) team is globally responsible for meeting the demand for infrastructure capacities across various data centers and delivering these to units utilizing cloud infrastructure. Our primary objectives are to prevent any shortages in data center and infrastructure capacity for cloud services and to deliver new capacity efficiently according to established timelines.
The Global Shared Service (GSS) team oversees the end-to-end Work Centre process of DLS, encompassing processes, tools, reporting, and key performance indicators.
The DLS unit is globally accountable for fulfilling the demand for data center space and cloud infrastructure capacities across SAP's data centers, ensuring a seamless handover to cloud infrastructure consumers. The strategy, planning, and operations of data centers, including all physical work, fall under the purview of DLS.
Our vision is to guarantee governance and continuous delivery of data center and infrastructure build services to all our cloud service customers.
